Solar
Laver Group supplies and installs solar panel water heating systems that can significantly reduce home heating costs. Our solar panel packages provide an efficient and sustainable way to generate hot water, allowing homeowners to benefit from renewable energy. A typical home solar PV system can save over one tonne of CO₂ per year—equivalent to approximately 30 tonnes over its lifetime.
Solar panels are designed to complement existing heating systems. During installation, your current cylinder is replaced with one that includes two heat exchanger coils: one connected to your boiler and the other to the solar panels.
For best performance, solar panels should ideally be south-facing; however, south-east or south-west orientations also deliver strong results. Panels are mounted on the roof at an angle of between 20° and 50° for optimal efficiency.
On average, solar heating systems provide over 20 years of reliable service. A well-sized system typically meets around 50% of a household’s annual hot water needs, resulting in substantial cost savings. The remaining hot water demand is met by your boiler.
In addition to solar water heating, Laver Group also offers solar thermal installations and solar PV systems with battery storage.
