Solar
Laver Group supply and install solar panel water heating systems which can significantly reduce home heating costs. Solar panel packages provide hot water heating which allows end consumers the opportunity to take advantage of renewable and sustainable energy. A typical home solar PV system could save over a tonne of CO2 per year - approximately 30 tonnes over its lifetime.
Solar panels are designed as a complement to existing heating systems. The existing cylinder is exchanged for a cylinder with two heat exchanger coils; one for the boiler in the property and a second for the solar panels.
Ideally, solar panels should be south-facing but south-east or south-west will also operate efficiently. Solar powered panels are placed on the roof at an angle of between 20 and 50 degrees.
On average, Solar Heating systems provide 20 years' or more useful service and a typical well sized solar system should provide around half a users’ annual domestic hot water requirements, therefore representing a very worthwhile saving on hot water heating costs. The remaining hot water requirement is provided by the boiler.
Laver Group can also provide Solar Thermal installations and Solar with Battery Storage solutions.
